Natasha Jones, RAD RTS
Studio Principal, Senior Ballet Teacher
Tash studied ballet in Launceston at the Margaret Stirling School of Ballet and successfully completed all her RAD Graded and Vocational exams. She completed her RAD Teaching Certificate in 2005, receiving a Distinction in her teaching exam.
Tash taught at Barbara Todd School of Ballet from 2001 - 2015. She then taught at Body Language Dance in Bellerive which then became Industrie Performing Arts from 2016 - 2022.
Tash was a freelance RAD teacher in Melbourne, teaching in numerous schools including the Christa Cameron School of Ballet, The Dance Precinct and Dancescape.
Tash has a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Studies (ANU) and a Graduate Certificate in Management (UTAS). She is a registered RAD teacher and a certified Progressing Ballet Technique teacher. Tash is the Southern Tasmanian representative on the RAD Victorian/Tasmanian Regional Advisory Panel.
Chloe Schiro
Pre-school and Ballet Foundations Teacher,
Administration Officer
Chloe is a University student, currently completing her Primary and Early Childhood Education degree.
Chloe works at St Michaels Collegiate School as a primary school Teachers Assistant, which she has done since graduating from Collegiate in 2020.
Chloe started ballet at Barbara Todd Ballet School at the age of five, with Jo Hills and Natasha as her teachers. Chloe continued to dance at the school until high school, with her fondest ballet memories being her Nutcracker concert where she played the role of a Christmas elf.
Chloe has always had a love for ballet and began teaching the Pre-school Ballet classes at Barbara Todd Ballet in 2023.
Susan Hill Henning, LRAD ARAD
Private Coaching, Conditioning Classes
Susan’s dance teaching training was at the Royal Academy of Dance in London graduating with the College Graduation Certificate and Diploma for Licentiate. Susan has over 40 years experience teaching classical ballet to all levels from the very young beginner in the RAD Grade levels to the dedicated male and female students at the RAD Vocational levels.
Susan is a former RAD Children’s Examiner examining in Australia and Internationally.
In 2006 she was appointed as a RAD Faculty of Education Classical Ballet Teaching Studies CBTS tutor – Practical Teaching Supervisor and a Freelance Faculty member class teacher for RAD student courses. In 2018 she was approved as a tutor for the licensee training of Silver Swans Classes for teachers.
Susan teaches freelance nationally in Australia and is also a qualified Pilates Mat Instructor specialising in the strength training of ballet technique through the Pilates method for young dancers.
Abbey Walker
Adult Ballet Teacher
Abbey brings a holistic perspective to her classes by blending her own training with her professional background as an Occupational Therapist.
Abbey’s ballet training and teaching has developed since rekindling her love of dance. She has undertaken various Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Graded, Vocational and Discovering Repertoire Exams along with participating in the RAD Joan Burnett Awards.
Having completed her Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) Level 1 Certification and Dance for Parkinson’s Australia Teacher Training, Abbey demonstrates a strong commitment to inclusive movement and accessible dance.
Abbey’s classes offer a supportive environment where adult dancers—from absolute beginners to those returning to the barre—can develop strength, grace, and confidence. Her goal is to foster a love for ballet that prioritises physical longevity and the joy of movement at every age.
Jo Hills, RAD RTS
Senior Ballet Teacher
Jo was a talented student of Barbara Todd and owned and ran the school with great success since Mrs Todd’s retirement from teaching in 1997.
Jo is a very experienced registered RAD teacher and is well known and loved for her fun and engaging classes for all ages and her imaginative and entertaining ballet productions.
